An article published in Science Daily on February 14, 2012 revealed that the latest research at Emory University has found compounds that may help protect an individual from the inflammation to brain cells caused by seizures and other degenerative neurological disorders. The scientists on this study believe that these compounds, or EP2 blockers, will become powerful tools for helping researchers explore ways of combating neurological and degenerative diseases and disorders. However, they also express their concern of the side effects of EP2 blockers in the body, such as infertility, and believe that much more tests and studies need to be conducted.
